The financing brings the company’s total raised capital to $35 million following an initial $8 million seed round. The fresh capital arrives as organizations grapple with increasingly fragmented network edge environments and new security complexities driven by artificial intelligence.

Addressing Fragmented Network Edge Environments

Modern enterprises rely on a sprawling combination of cloud service providers, content delivery networks (CDNs), web application firewalls (WAFs), and load balancers. According to the Wall Street Journal, this fragmented infrastructure makes it difficult for security teams to understand whether controls work properly or if policy changes will disrupt legitimate traffic. The Wall Street Journal noted that blocking normal user traffic can damage customer retention and revenue, while failing to block malicious requests leaves systems open to breaches. Huskeys aims to solve this dilemma with a proprietary concept it terms Network Edge Security Management, or NESM.

Unified Data Model and Virtual Patching

Rather than forcing organizations to rip out existing tools, Huskeys built a platform that operates on top of current infrastructure. According to the Wall Street Journal reporting, the platform connects CDNs, WAFs, and cloud-native security products using a patented Unified Data Model. This shared layer allows security teams to run continuous posture assessments, generate dynamic policies, and deploy Virtual Patching. Virtual Patching lets engineers mitigate network edge vulnerabilities within minutes while developers build and test permanent fixes in application code, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Managing AI-Driven Traffic and Autonomous Agents

Artificial intelligence presents a dual challenge for edge security teams. According to the Wall Street Journal, autonomous agents are emerging as legitimate application users, while hackers deploy AI-driven tools to discover and exploit vulnerabilities at unprecedented speeds. Huskeys’ platform helps enterprises distinguish between routine automated traffic and genuine threats. “We founded Huskeys because security teams are being asked to protect increasingly complex edge environments with legacy tools that were never designed to work together or to address the challenges of the new AI era,” said Itai Gafni, CEO and Co-Founder of Huskeys, in statements.

Investor Backing and Industry Support

The Series A round drew participation from a wide group of venture capital firms and individual technology leaders. Investors include Merlin Ventures, Skinos Ventures, Zscaler Ventures, Okta Ventures, Bright Pixel Capital, and SV Angel. Individual backers include Eran Reshef, inventor of the WAF and CAPTCHA, alongside executives from major firms such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Intel, Cloudflare, Palo Alto Networks, and Check Point.
