Tenor Andrea Bocelli and Grammy-winning artist Jennifer Hudson have teamed up to record “One Right Here,” the original end-title song for the upcoming biographical film Maserati: The Brothers, according to an announcement made by producer Andrea Iervolino and The Andrea Iervolino Company. Written by 17-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren, the track will be released on Friday, October 2, through Decca Records, coinciding with Bocelli’s headlining performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The Creative Forces Behind ‘One Right Here’
According to songwriter Diane Warren, the track was built specifically with Bocelli’s voice in mind. Warren stated that she originally wrote the song hoping the Italian tenor would perform it, later conceptualizing a duet by bringing Hudson into the project to bridge two different musical worlds. Walter Afanasieff, a recent Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee, produced and arranged the single.
“I wrote the song with Andrea Bocelli in mind,” Warren said, according to production announcements. “It’s always been a dream of mine to have Andrea sing one of my songs, and when he was interested, it was amazing. Then I thought, what if we brought Jennifer Hudson into it? They come from two different musical worlds, but together they created this world of beauty.”
