Watch: This 12-year-old girl has been known as the following Usain Secure

Brianna Lyston is simply 12 years of age, but she’s already drawing comparisons to Secure because of her stunning 200m victory in the Boys and Women Championship in Kinston (the identical meet where Secure first burst to the scene in 2003).

Lyston includes a bit to visit before she catches Florence Griffith Joyner’s world record of 21.34 seconds, but still, she’s 12.

Lyston adopted that track of a 23.72 second showing within the final, smashing an age group record.

Under annually after Usain Secure ran his last Olympic race, a new Jamaican sprinter seems poised to consider over as track and field’s next phenomenon.

Lyston, running usually by herself, finished the race inside a wind-aided 23.47 seconds. (while putting on a flower crown). Lyson’s win am Ledecky-like that none of her fellow competitors were even on screen when she entered the conclusion line.
