Matthew, 20, was discovered hanging in the room. An inquest into his dying found there was ‘multiple failings’ in the center.
His mother Melanie, of Tolleshunt Knights, has fought against to have an independent enquiry into his dying and enhancements to safeguarding measures in the center to avoid further deaths.
She stated: “I have labored tirelessly to gather evidence returning to 2001, which proves the trust understood concerning the ligature points around the ward.
“That, as demonstrated through the Care Quality Commission inspection in 2015, the wards were less than standard needed to make sure patient safety.”
A spokesman for that Kent Partnership Trust, which runs the Linden Center, stated: “The trust will cooperate with any police queries.”
