An enormous power outage in Bay Area on Friday morning caused a blackout in neighborhoods over the city, in the Financial District towards the Presidio, forcing the closure of companies, a federal courthouse along with a BART station, officials stated.

A spokesman for Off-shore Electric and gas Co. stated a minimum of 90,000 customers lost power.

BART’s Montgomery Station was closed because of the outage, which struck after 9 a.m. BART rains were running through Montgomery Station without having to stop. Cable cars were also impacted and shuttles were set up to supply service, based on the Municipal Transportation Agency.
