Perspective is everything.

Although some saw the Coffee Coolatta like a decadent dessert — a sizable frozen mocha with cream packed 990 calories and 133 grams of sugar — Dunkin’ Donuts is wishing they’ll begin to see the Frozen Coffee like a more nutritionally reasonable option. While a sizable with cream still contains 840 calories and 125 grams of sugar, the Frozen Coffee is targeting customers searching for any warm-weather caffeine fix.

One customer tweeted about his disappointment with how big Dunkin’ Donuts’ samples.

Earlier in May, the coffee-and-donut chain launched Frozen Coffee, a blended beverage replacing the chain’s cult favorite Coffee Coolatta.

The coffee coolatta may be the finest invention from the 90’s. Crazy. I am legit crying 😭😭 #SaveTheCoffeeCoolatta

“The only real factor I ever visit Dunkin for is coffee coolatta. My daughter too,” one customer authored on Dunkin’ Donut’s Facebook page. “Attempted the frozen coffee today. Not impressed. It’s like through an iced coffee that’s too light. Will not go back.”

Dunkin’ Donuts swapped the Coffee Coolatta for that Frozen Coffee since the Coolatta wasn’t to the chain’s standards, executives stated at the brand’s media day in March.
